JSS Kathua celebrates Swachhta Pakhwada

KATHUA: Swachhta Pakhwada was celebrated between the 1st of Sept. to 16th of Sept. in Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua premises by conducting different activities so as to strike awareness amongst students and make it a mass drive.

The students carried out several activities in school followed by a special assembly. Also, a plantation drive was carried inside the school premises and children were made to pledge to plant one sapling each every year on their birthday alongwith a cleanliness drive where students were made to clean the classes, entire school premises so as to realize the significance of cleanliness as it is stated that "cleanliness is next to godliness".

The culmination of the same was done with a community connect where students of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua went to the District Police Line, Kathua to celebrate the same under the able mentorship of teaching fraternity namely Romy Samnotra (Adm. Counselor), Monika Sharma (Co-Ordinator Pre-Primary), Neena Rajput (ISA Incharge) and Deepak Khajuria (IT Incharge). The students were warmly welcomed by Shridhar Patil, SSP Kathua alongwith and Rasgotra (DSP Headquarter), K D Bhagat (DSP DAR), Shat (DSP Tele commandent BSF) alongwith Police officials.

The students today made an energetic attempt to strike an awareness and create a futuristic clean India of their dreams. The senior students of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua performed a power packed Nukad Natak where they enlightened the Police officials on how as citizens of India, they must practice Swachhta and that it is not a matter of one day but a habit to inculcate for a life time while the other students namely Spranjal of class 6th, Palak, Pratha and Kashish of class 5th recited poems on Swachhta drive emphasizing on the ill effects of not keeping our surroundings clean.

Dhruv Prashar of class 8th spoke on Swachhta Abhiyan initiated by Prime Minister Modi while Sanidhya Sharma of class 6th spoke on ways to conserve water clubbed under, the ISA activity 2 ‘Water the Elixir of life'.

The students even prepared bags made of newspaper which were presented to Shridhar Patil (IPS) SSP Kathua along with other esteemed Police personals. They even pinned handmade badges to the Police officials making them an integral part and parcel of this drive. Shridhar Patil (IPS) SSP Kathua acknowledge the efforts of young iconic students and praised their initiative. He even directed his officials to practice Swachhta and ensure that each one follows this as a responsibility. T
