JSS Kathua holds interactive session with National Awardee teacher

KATHUA: Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua on Saturday held an interactive session with Gurnam Singh (National Award Winner for Teaching) for the teaching fraternity and students of classes 10th and 11th.
Gurnam Singh, National Award Winner for teaching is an Upper Primary Teacher at the Government Upper Primary School, Lahari, Barnoti in Kathua district.
Principal JSS Kathua, Mili R. Sumbria extended a special welcome to the National Awardee. She said that it is a proud privilege to felicitate a noble laureate like Gurnam Singh.
In his guest lecture, Gurnam Singh highlighted his experiences as a teacher and shared several instances where he has selflessly worked for the betterment of children. He spoke with conviction that he has been a teacher by choice and not by chance. He has always considered teaching as a passion. Also he laid extra emphasis on reading good books and instilling punctuality as a habit.
A memento of appreciation was presented to him by Harpreet Singh Anand, Chairman of Jammu Sanskriti Schools.
