MVIS celebrates Grandparent's Day

JAMMU: MV International School celebrated the Grand Parent's Day in the school today.Maternal and paternal grandparents of the students of the Prep School were invited for this special occasion.

The invited grand-parents participated in large numbers to make the event a great success. Hira Lal Abrol, Chairman and Gourav Abrol, Director were present as special invitees of the program. The program commenced with Tilak Ceremony followed by Lighting of Lamp, various cultural events like colourful dance performances and games were also organized.

Everyone participated with great eagerness. Winners of various events were Kuldeep Raj and Sunita Gupta, grandfather and grandmother of Anvi Gupta (Nursery A), Satveer Singh and Rita Devi, grandfather and grandmother of Rudra (UKG B), Sham Lal and Kamlo Devi, grandfather and grandmother of Mithlesh (Nursery A), Chanchla Devi, grandmother of Dhruvika (UKG A), Dev Raj and Vajaynti Mala, grandfather and grandmother of Suneha (LKG A), Gyan Chand and Bishno Devi, grandfather and grandmother of Varun Digra (UKG A), Sheila and Raj grandmothers of Divyansh (UKG C), Bhagwan Das, grandfather of Raghav Sharma(UKGC).

The School Chairman in his address complimented the grand-parents for their efforts in writing the success stories of their children and the grand-children. He inspired them and the students to develop a healthy atmosphere in the society; he also cautioned them against the internet-based games as is prevalent in society today.

Earlier K L Dogra, Principal of the school delivered welcome address; he thanked the grandparents for being the greatest support system of a family and requested them to give quality time to grandchildren by sharing inspirational stories as well as cultural heritage of the country. Elated Grandparents thanked the School management for organizing such a wonderful show and expressed satisfaction for overall development of their grandchildren.
