JSS organises Inter-house folk music competition.

JAMMU: The middle wing of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu organized an interhouse folk music competition.
The competition was adjudicated by Deepak Kumar (Music Teacher) from Jodhamal Public School, Jammu (popularly known as Kishore Kumar of Jammu).
The competition commenced with a positive note on music and its prominence in relieving us from stress. Ensuing this all the four houses presented their symphony and left the audience in awe. The competition was cut throat but at the same time rejuvenating for the gathering.
Passion house was declared winner by the judge whereas 2nd, 3rd & 4th place was bagged by Optimism house, Wisdom house & Harmony house respectively. The houses were prepared by music department faculty: Krishan Kumar, Rajni Makroo, Aashsih & Gulshan.
The competition was relinquished by the speech of Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice Chairperson of the school who asserted that music is something which soothes us in every situation. Living in India is a blessing for us as we are bestowed with the rich culture heritage of classical and folk music which binds us to our native land. Such competitions play a crucial role promulgating folk music.
The programme was conducted by harmony house under the supervision of C.C.A Co-ordinator Trishna Sharma.
