DIS celebrates National Sports Day by espousing the ‘Fit India Movement'

JAMMU: In a bid to motivate students to adopt a healthier and fitter lifestyle, Doon International School celebrated National Sports Day by espousing the ‘Fit India Movement' launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on National Sports Day today.
The students participated in multiple sports activities throughout the day. The juniors had swimming sessions, whereas the senior boys and girls participated in Kabaddi and Basketball competitions respectively.
The middle wing students attended a special ‘Yoga Class' to commemorate the optimistic ‘Fit India Movement' by the PM and pledged to adopt a fit and healthy lifestyle for a better mental, physical, emotional and social growth.
While addressing the students, the principal Dr Vikesh Kaur urged them to incorporate sports and fun filled health programmes in their daily life to ensure a healthy mind encapsulated in a healthy body.
