JSS commemorates National Sports Day

JAMMU: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu celebrated National Sports Day with full exuberance .
The entire event was witnessed in the presence of Kuldeep Handoo (Indian Wushu Coach) who graced the occasion as Chief Guest, Bhanu Pratap (Asian Goldmedalist), Ashi Jamwal(National Wushu Player) Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson of the school and all the Co-ordinators.
The event commenced by a Welcome Song to greet the guests followed by multifarious games like Inter-house Volley Ball Championship, tug of war, Taekwon-Do, Athletics, Yoga, Relay race, hurdle race and ended withmartial arts demonstration.
Wisdom house was declared as the winner of Volleyball, Optimism House as the winner of Tug of war whereas winners of Taekwon-Do were Boys of Passion house and Girls of Harmony House. Special arrangements were made for the students to view the session "Fit India movement" by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The performances mesmerized all the guests and audience. The efforts of the Sports Department became evident with the success of the function. Handoo and Bhanu Pratap appreciated the efforts of students and staff in bringing out the best in sports out of Children and congratulated the school for promoting Sports Culture in positive direction.
The culmination of National Sports Day was marked by the words of Rohini Aima, Principal cum vice-Chairperson of the School who said we at JSS , Jammu are continuously thriving for the preparation of National Champions in the Sports who will definitely bring laurels to the nation.
