KISHTWAR: Chairperson District Development Council (DDC) Kishtwar Pooja Thakur chaired the quarterly General Council Meeting held today in the Conference Hall of the New DC Office Complex.
During the meeting, CPO (Joint Director Planning) presented a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation on ongoing and proposed works under the District Capex 2025-26 including DDC grants, and PRI grants.
The DDC Council members applauded District officers for their working culture and unanimously approved the District Capex Plans for 2025-26.
During the meeting they raised key issues related to basic services and infrastructure augmentation of PHE, Health, and Education.
Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma assured the Council members that all genuine grievances and demands will be addressed in a time-bound manner and on priority.
The DDC Chairperson emphasized the need for inter-departmental coordination and cooperation between officers and elected representatives for better handling of issues and the importance of accelerating developmental works and completing ongoing projects within the 2025-26 FY.
She also directed implementing agencies to optimize resource use and manpower to meet set targets.
Additionally, the Chairperson directed the Education Department to rationalize teachers as per actual requirements and raised issues including CSC, Antyodaya Ration Cards and the Suid Bridge.
The Deputy Commissioner briefed the council on central sponsored schemes, especially Financial Inclusion and social security schemes, and urged them to spread awareness among the common masses at grassroot level to avail benefits under these schemes.
The meeting was attended by DC Kishtwar, DDC Members from Marwah, Bounjwah, Palmar and Trigam besides Senior Officers ADDC, PO ICDS, ACR, ACD, CPO and other district and sectoral officers. |
