DODA: The second day of the NEP UTSAV 2025 concluded with widespread participation and vibrant celebrations across District Doda. A total of 975 schools took part in the day's events, which focused on promotion of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) through the innovative use of Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs).
The celebrations were held under the directives of Director of School Education Jammu Dr. Naseem Javaid Choudhary and were supervised by Chief Education Officer Mohammad Hafiz.
The event served as a platform for talented and innovative teachers to showcase creative TLMs at the district, zonal, and cluster levels. The material has been developed to enhance student engagement and promote a student-centered approach to learning, particularly in foundational subjects. The displays and demonstrations highlighted how these tools are being effectively used to improve comprehension and make learning more interactive for students.
A core objective of the day was to reinforce the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes early foundational skills as the bedrock of lifelong learning. In addition to showcasing TLMs, teachers conducted sessions to raise awareness about the importance of Activity-Based Learning (ABL). Several schools staged skits and interactive sessions to demonstrate the practical application of ABL in the classroom.
Education officials lauded the dedication of school heads and teachers for their commitment to aligning classroom practices with the goals of NEP 2020. They commended the efforts to create a more inclusive and dynamic learning environment for students throughout the district.
The NEP UTSAV 2025 is a multi-day event and will continue with more theme-based activities planned in the coming days to further engage the educational community of District Doda. |
