DODA: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) convened an important meeting today under the flagship Mission YUVA, chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Harvinder Singh.
The meeting aimed to review progress under the scheme and to scrutinize and approve applications submitted through the dedicated DLIC portal.
The deliberations were attended by ADC/ADDC Doda, Anil Kumar Thakur, Deputy Director Employment Doda Mohd Rafiq, In-charge General Manager DIC, District Social Welfare Officer Doda, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, Lead District Manager and other key stakeholders. A total of 66 entrepreneurial cases, verified by the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) Doda, were presented before the committee. After thorough examination of eligibility, viability, and socio-economic relevance, all 66 applications were approved for financial assistance and handholding support under Mission YUVA.
While addressing the officers, the Deputy Commissioner underscored the importance of creating self-employment opportunities for the local youth, with special focus on marginalized and underprivileged sections. He directed line departments to ensure timely disbursement of funds, effective monitoring, and strong mentoring mechanisms to help the new ventures flourish sustainably.
The DC also urged stakeholders to intensify outreach and awareness campaigns to encourage wider participation in Mission YUVA, making it a beacon of hope for aspiring entrepreneurs in the district. The meeting concluded with a call to all departments to work with dedication and urgency so that today's entrepreneurial seeds grow into successful enterprises of tomorrow. |
