RAMBAN: The first meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) under the ambitious Mission YUVA initiative was held today in the VC Room of the DC Office Complex, Ramban.
The meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan.
The agenda of the meeting focused on reviewing the applications received under Mission YUVA blockwise, scrutiny of applications and promoting self-employment among the youth of the district.
During the session, the committee took up 114 applications that had been verified by the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) Ramban. Following a thorough evaluation process-considering eligibility norms, project viability, and the socio-economic background of the applicants-the committee gave its approval to all 114 cases for further financial support and mentoring under the mission.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner, Ramban highlighted the importance of Mission YUVA in empowering local youth and helping them build sustainable livelihoods. He emphasized the need for effective awareness campaigns and to reach out to more eligible youth and encourage their participation in the scheme.
The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the District Nodal Officer, JKEDI and the General Manager (DIC) to speed up the preparation and verification of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) to avoid delays in processing the remaining applications.
