DLIC meeting under Mission YUVA held at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR: The 2nd meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) under Mission YUVA was convened today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma in the VC Room of the DC Office Complex, Kishtwar.

The meeting aimed to review and approve applications received under Mission YUVA-a flagship initiative focused on promoting youth entrepreneurship and self-employment in the district.

A total of 77 applications, verified by the Skill and Business Development Unit (SBDU) were presented before the committee. After detailed scrutiny based on eligibility, business viability, and the applicants' socio-economic background, all 77 proposals were approved for financial assistance and handholding support under the Mission YUVA framework.

While addressing the committee, the DDC emphasized the need to widen outreach efforts by conducting awareness camps and mobile registration drives, particularly in remote and underserved areas, to ensure that the benefits of Mission YUVA reach every eligible youth in the district.

He also directed the District Nodal Officer (JKEDI) and Functional Manager (DIC) to expedite the formulation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and ensure their prompt verification at the SBDU level, so that pending applications can be processed without delay.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Pawan Kotwal; Assistant Director Employment, Shafaqat Keen; District Nodal Officer, JKEDI; Rep. Cluster Head, JK Bank; Employment Officer, Vinod Shant and representatives from the Agriculture and Social Welfare Departments among other concerned officials.
