BANDIPORA: To assess the preparations for the ongoing holy month of Muharram, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Zafar Husson Shawl, today conducted an extensive tour of various Imambaras in the Sumbal subdivision of Bandipora.

During the visit, ADC reviewed the essential arrangements for the smooth conduct of congregations and mourning processions throughout Muharram-ul-Haram. He engaged with the Imambara Intizamia Committees, inquiring about the facilities available to them.

ADC directed the concerned officers to ensure continuous supply of water and electricity during the holy days. Additionally, Municipal Committees were directed to maintain cleanliness in and around the worship places where large gatherings are expected.

On the occasion, SDM Sumbal assured that there would be regular visits to the Imambaras in their jurisdictions to guarantee that necessary facilities are provided to the community.

ADC was accompanied by Sub-divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sumbal, and several senior officers.
