KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma today chaired a crucial meeting to review the district's flood preparedness and response strategy.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all executing agencies like Jal Shakti, PDD, R&B, PMGSY, Mechanical and others to immediately establish a dedicated 24x7 Control Room.

The DC emphasized that the emergency contact numbers must be widely circulated across all platforms, including social media, to ensure timely communication with the public. He directed all concerned departments to keep their manpower and machinery in a state of readiness to respond swiftly to any emergent situation.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of maintaining seamless coordination among all line departments and the District Disaster Management Team to ensure a unified and effective response.

The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer Jal Shakti , AEE PMGSY, AEE Mechanical, Representatives of power project SDRF team and Tehsildars who joined online from their respective headquarters.
