PULWAMA: As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), district administration Pulwama today conducted a comprehensive outreach and benefit saturation camp at Achgooze, with the objective of ensuring equitable access to government services and welfare entitlements for the tribal population.
The camp witnessed overwhelming participation from members of the tribal community, including women, children, elderly citizens, tribal leaders, activists and youth. The initiative is aligned with the vision of the DAJGUA campaign to ensure holistic development and empowerment of tribal residents through targeted saturation of welfare schemes.
A wide array of departments, including Health, Social Welfare, ICDS, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Forest, and Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Fisheries established dedicated stalls at the venue to deliver on-the-spot services.
These departments facilitated registrations under key schemes such as Jal Jeevan Mission (Functional Household Tap Connections), MGNREGA Job Cards, PMAY-G, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Mudra Yojana, PM Vishwakarma among others. Eligible citizens were guided and assisted on-site to ensure timely and complete coverage under these schemes.
A Common Services Centre (CSC) was also set up to assist residents with digital access, including document uploads, enrolments, Aadhar and domicile registrations and corrections, and scholarship registrations.
A special medical camp was organised by the Health department on the occasion, wherein doctors and paramedical staff conducted general health check-ups, sickle cell screening, and provided consultations. The health team also carried out awareness sessions on personal hygiene, water-borne diseases, and preventive healthcare measures.
DAJGUA campaign in Pulwama will continue with similar outreach camps scheduled across other tribal habitations in the district in the coming days in line with the nationwide calendar. These efforts are aimed at bridging service delivery gaps and fostering inclusive growth in tribal areas.
