JAMMU: Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar conducted a 2 day tour of District Kishtwar to ascertain status of Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (ABHIM) Scheme that aims to strengthen the health care infrastructure with newest medical facilities.
The DHS visited Sub District Hospital Atholi Padder, where he took a detailed tour of all sections of the hospital and interacted with doctors and paramedical staff. He also reviewed the preparedness for the upcoming MachailYatra. Several public delegations led by the local DDC Councilor met him and projected local demands. The DHS also visited AAM Gulabgarh Paddar and took stock of health facilities available.
Later, the DHS inspected the patient care services at NTPHC Sohal Padder, PHC Keeru and interacted with doctors, paramedical staff and the public of the area. Afterward the DHS visited NTPHC Suzana Palmar to review the progress of work on the upcoming Block Public Health Unit (BPHU).
Earlier, on way to District Kishtwar, the DHS inspected the progress of work on BPHU at CHC Batote.
The ABHIM Scheme aims to fill critical gaps in health infrastructure, surveillance and research.
