BANDIPORA: In view of the upcoming Muharram observances, and on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sumbal, conducted an extensive visit to Imambaras and other religious sites across the Sumbal sub-division.

During the visit, SDM assessed the preparedness regarding sanitation, water and power supply, medical aid, and security arrangements. He interacted with local religious leaders and community representatives to take stock of the arrangements and noted specific requirements for timely redressal.

SDM assured that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of Muharram, and emphasized the need for interdepartmental coordination to provide seamless support to the devotees.

He reiterated the district administration's commitment to creating a safe and respectful environment for religious gatherings and urged the public to uphold communal harmony during the holy days.
