RAJOURI: Government Medical College Rajouri has clarified that the cases of illness reported in Village Kotli (Bagla) are Gastroenteritis- ailment common in this season.

"It has been observed that News is being circulated in the social media regarding an alleged outbreak of a mysterious disease in village Kotli (Bagla), Rajouri.

In this connection it is clarified that no such outbreak has occurred. These are simple cases of Gastroenteritis which are very common in this season and every year cases of simple Gastroenteritis are reported to Rajouri. Recently we have admitted eleven cases of gastroenteritis and ten have been discharged. There is no mysterious illness or any outbreak. All tests have been done on the samples and have been confirmed as a simple case of Gastroenteritis" an official handout stated.
