DODA: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Arun Thakur today chaired a detailed review meeting to assess the progress of the ongoing Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign against drug abuse in the district.

Representatives from the Health Department, Youth Services & Sports Department, ICDS, Excise Department, Rural Development Department, NRLM and Police Department-who are actively involved in the implementation of the campaign attended the meeting.

The ADC emphasized the importance of community involvement for the success of government-led initiatives. He urged all departments to intensify awareness activities at the grassroots level and adopt a multi-pronged media strategy-encompassing print, digital, and traditional platforms-to effectively reach every segment of the population.

He also stressed the need for enhanced inter-departmental coordination to monitor the campaign's impact and implement necessary improvements.

Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Mushraf Haff; District Social Welfare Officer, Tariq Qazi (who also serves as the Nodal Officer for the IEC initiative); Chief Education Officer, Mohd Hafiz and Excise & Taxation Officer also attended the meeting.
