BARAMULLA: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Baramulla today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of various developmental works being executed by the Rural Development Department (RDD) across the district.
During the meeting, ACD presented a block-wise progress report, highlighting the number of works completed, employment generated under MGNREGA, and the status of housing and sanitation schemes.
He also flagged operational challenges and briefed the chair about measures being taken to address them, including better monitoring, improved geo-tagging compliance and regular field inspections.
Reviewing the performance, ADDC appreciated the efforts of performing blocks and directed the concerned officers to expedite the pace of ongoing works. He emphasized strict adherence to timelines and quality parameters. He further called for better convergence of schemes and enhanced community participation to ensure sustainable development at the grassroots level.
ADDC stressed the importance of transparency, accountability and proactive field supervision for the effective implementation of RDD schemes. He urged officials to resolve bottlenecks promptly and ensure optimum utilization of funds for the benefit of rural populations. |
