GANDERBAL: Fisheries Department Ganderbal today organized awareness-cum-workshop on the Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Enterprises (PMFME) scheme at the Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL), Kangan.
The event saw active participation from all line departments and farmers, aimed to promote the scope and benefits of the PMFME scheme among local stakeholders.
The session highlighted the potential of the PMFME scheme in district Ganderbal, with detailed presentations from various experts and officials.
District Nodal Officer PMFME, underscored the importance of the scheme and discussed the financial benefits available to individual farmers and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).
District Resource Person elaborated on the detailed components, scope, and incentives under the PMFME scheme, encouraging participants to take advantage of the initiative.
Officers from HP&M Ganderbal, Agriculture Department and Animal Husbandry Department besides others discussed various strategies including marketing opportunities and avenues for business expansion.
Participants were also briefed on banking procedures, insurance schemes, and the documentation required to avail benefits under PMFME.
As part of the workshop, on-spot registration of interested farmers was facilitated by the District Resource Person to ensure immediate and effective engagement with the scheme.
The programme witnessed participation from officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, NRLM, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, and Fisheries departments, as well as representatives from banks and other line departments. |
