RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today reviewed the status of eight Vibrant Villages selected from District Rajouri under the Vibrant Villages Programme.
The review meeting, held at the DC office, focused on villages located in Qila Darhal, Seri, Doongi and Panjgrian blocks.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for a detailed gap analysis in key areas such as BSNL network connectivity, road accessibility, television connectivity and electrification of households in these villages. He directed the concerned departments-BRO, PWD and PMGSY to submit the latest status of road connectivity to these identified villages.
Emphasizing a holistic development approach, the DC directed officials to prepare comprehensive Village Action Plans for each village, based on the gap analysis. He further instructed departments to explore possibilities of promoting alternative crops, establishing milk processing units and identifying tourism potential, including religious tourism in these areas.
The DC reiterated the administration's commitment to ensuring inclusive growth and improving the quality of life for residents of border and remote villages under the Vibrant Villages Programme.
Officers from line departments, including Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Tourism and representatives from BSNL, BRO, PWD and PMGSY were present in the meeting. |
