JAMMU: A delegation from the CII J&K Startup Panel, led by its Convener, Shivang Mahajan along with members- Ayush Sawhney and Abhishek Sachdeva, visited IIT Jammu to discuss opportunities for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.

The team met with Lakhvinder Singh, Head of Incubation at IIT Jammu's Innovation & Incubation Center (I3C), and Akash Sharma, Manager, IC3 IIT, Jammu to explore the institute's startup support ecosystem, particularly in Robotics, 3D Printing, and Automation. The discussions focused on enhancing industry-academia partnerships, to accelerate startup growth in Jammu and Kashmir.

Following the meeting, the IIT faculties and students offered CII delegation a tour of their state of the art facilities including Robotics and 3D Printing Lab. They demonstrated drones being manufactured and other innovations being done at their Center, gaining insights into cutting-edge research and student-led innovations.

IIT faculties are quite optimistic to enter into MoU and arrangements with CII J&K for mutual collaboration and asked if our industry experts could guide their startups and they are willing to draft specific management and executive development courses for the CII members.

The visit marks a key step in aligning academic expertise with industry needs to drive technological innovation in Jammu & Kashmir.
