CHANDIGARH: The Department of Dermatology at PGIMER, Chandigarh, has earned a remarkable distinction, being ranked, 1st in Asia and 19th in the World based on academic/research output.
EduRank, a data-driven academic ranking platform, evaluated 1,885 universities worldwide for their research performance in dermatology, based on metrics such as publications and citations. The rankings were drawn from a pool of 14,131 global universities, placing PGIMER in elite international company.
Among the top 18 institutions ranked above PGIMER globally, 14 are from the US, including Harvard University, University of California, Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, and Mount Sinai. The remaining four hail from Europe, including University College London and Charité - Berlin.
