POONCH: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Vikas Kundal on Saturday chaired a meeting here in the meeting hall of DC Office Complex and conducted a thorough assessment of the physical and financial progress of the NABARD Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) projects in Poonch district.
The meeting was attended by ACR Mohammad Sayed; SE PWD (R&B); Xen PWD Division Poonch; Xen PHE; Tehsildar Haveli; and Tehsildar Mandi.
Several officers participated virtually, including SDM Mendhar, SDM Surankote, and Tehsildars from Mendhar, Balakote, Mankote, and Surankote. These officials provided detailed updates on ongoing works in their respective divisions, all demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing infrastructure development within the district.
The meeting evaluated the developmental initiatives that target infrastructure improvement in underserved areas.
DDC Kundal reviewed progress on both tehsil-wise and project-wise basis, emphasizing the importance of timely reporting on advancements to effectively meet public needs. He directed concerned officials to expedite dispute resolution, if any that could hinder development processes. He asked all officials associated with projects showing slow progress to identify actionable solutions that could facilitate timely completion.
The DDC called for a proactive approach to ensure that the developmental initiatives under the NABARD RIDF not only enhance infrastructure but also contribute significantly to the overall well-being of the community. |
