SAMBA: Government Degree College Vijaypur Organised today organised a series of contests to assess students perceptive on a wide range of subjects.
An essay writing competition was hosted on the theme ‘The Consequences of Drug Abuse' under the aegis of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The Participants were encouraged to express their views on the detrimental impact of drug abuse on individuals, families and civil society, also suggesting effective strategies for prevention and control.
The first position was secured by Palak Panotra of B. A Sem-IV, the second position was secured by Amit Kumar of B.A Sem VI and third was secured by Shravan Jamwal of B.A Sem II.
As part of the series of activities being organized to celebrate B. R. Ambedkar Jayanti, Department of History, in collaboration with NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) organized slogan writing on the theme "Constitutionalism and Rule of Law". The event was organized to make students aware of the contribution of B. R. Ambedkar in the Indian Constitution. NSS volunteers participated in the event with great enthusiasm and zeal.
The students wrote meaningful slogans, conveying information regarding life, works and contribution of B. R. Ambedkar towards constitution making and social causes.
Meanwhile, in continuation to the series of activities being organized under Poshan Pakhwada 2025, Department of English in collaboration with NSS unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College, Vijaypur organized slogan writing competition on the theme "Management of Nutrition for Healthy Lifestyle".
The 1st position was bagged by Sharavan Jamwal of B.A. sem. II, second position was secured by Bhawani Singh Slathia of B.A. sem.II while third position was held by Risha of B.A. sem. II.
All the events were held under the guidance of the Principal of the college, Dr. Ashu Vashist. |
