KISHTWAR: To combat the challenges of drug menace, an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Awareness Campaign was today launched in the Municipal areas of the District Kishtwar under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The campaign, conducted under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan, has received an overwhelming response from the local community.

The inaugural event of the campaign was held in Ward No. 1 of Kishtwar Town, where informative sessions were led by resource persons from eight key departments, including Health, Police, Education, Rural Development Department (RDD), and Ex-PRIs. The Resource Persons were nominated by the District administration to raise awareness and educate the public about the devastating consequences of drug abuse.

During the sessions, the resource persons provided crucial insights into the damaging effects of drug abuse on the individuals and the society as a whole.

The campaign was executed under the guidance of Nodal Officer (DSWO) Zubair Ahmed, ensuring a comprehensive outreach to the public.
