KATRA: Continuing the drive against drug abuse and illicit liquor launched by District Police Reasi. Reasi Police recovered illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger involved in smuggling of illicit liquor.

Police party of Police Check Post Balini, during checking and frisking stopped one vehicle bearing registration number JK02AE-3350 driven by driver namely Ajay Kumar S/O Kartar Singh R/O Pardhal, Katra and recovered 35 Qtrs of JK Special whiskey 250/250 ml each and 12 Qtrs of 180/180 ml each from his possession.

In this regard, cognizance is taken and FIR No. 76/2025 U/S 48(a) Ex. Act & 223 BNS stands registered at P/S Katra. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
