Rs 92.16 Lakh financial assistance provided to registered workers in Reasi

REASI: Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik today released financial assistance of Rs. 92,16,500 in favor of the wards of registered construction workers.

The financial assistance has been provided under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board schemes, covering death and funeral assistance as well as educational assistance.

The Deputy Commissioner lauded the efforts of the Labour Department in extending financial support to economically disadvantaged laborers. She emphasized the need to ensure that the maximum number of beneficiaries avail the government welfare schemes.

Stressing the government's commitment, the DC stated that the economic and social security of the labour class is a top priority. She further stated that the initiative also aims to enhance the economic potential of laborers, ensuring their financial stability.

ALC Annie Vaid highlighted the core objective of the BOCWWB schemes. She said the schemes offer financial assistance under different components to support the registered construction workers.
