KVK Bhaderwah hosts live webcasting as PM releases 19th installment

BHADERWAH: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bhaderwah today organized the live webcasting of the release of the 19th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

The program was attended by around 70 farmers from different parts of the region.

The event was presided over by District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal as the chief guest in presence of Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar. Also present on the occasion were Vice Chairperson DDC Sangeeta Rani, Chief Agriculture Officer Anil Kumar Gupta, and officials from the Agriculture Department and Krishi Vigyan Kendra.

Speaking on the occasion, DDC Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal highlighted the significance of the PM-KISAN scheme in ensuring financial security to farmers. He stated, "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is committed to strengthen the agricultural sector.

This scheme provides direct financial support to small and marginal farmers, helping them meet their agricultural needs and improve productivity, " he said and urged the farmers to avail benefits of government schemes and adopt modern farming techniques promoted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra.

MLA Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar also addressed the gathering, appreciating the efforts of the Agriculture Department and KVK in promoting advanced farming practices.

He said, "Agriculture remains the backbone of our economy, and it is our responsibility to empower farmers with the latest technology, financial support, and knowledge. The government is working tirelessly to ensure that schemes like PM-KISAN reach every eligible farmer." He encouraged farmers to diversify their crops and take advantage of subsidies and training programs offered by the government.

During the event, the guests inspected the stalls set up by the Agriculture Department and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, showcasing innovative farming techniques, organic farming methods, and government initiatives to boost agricultural growth. Farmers were also guided on the benefits of soil health testing, high-yield seeds, and sustainable agricultural practices.

The event concluded with an interactive session where farmers shared their experiences and received expert guidance from agricultural officers.
