JAMMU: FICCI FLO JKL proudly congratulated Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu, for achieving a prestigious position for JU in the top 50 in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (University Ranking) for the year 2024 under the able guidance & support of Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of J&K and Chancellor of University of Jammu.
The University of Jammu has not only emerged as one of the top 50 universities in India but also ranked among the top 100 institutions across the country, as per the NIRF list released by the Union Ministry of Education.
Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson of FICCI FLO JKL, led a delegation of core team members to the Vice Chancellor's chamber to personally congratulate him on this unprecedented accomplishment. She expressed her heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Rai for his exceptional leadership, which has been instrumental in securing this remarkable recognition.
She applauded his visionary efforts in introducing progressive and innovative programs such as the "Design Your Degree" program and the "College on Wheels: The J&K Gyanodaya Express" initiative. These flagship initiatives, undertaken under his able leadership, have significantly benefited the students at University of Jammu and set a benchmark for other universities across Jammu and Kashmir to emulate.
"This milestone achievement under Prof. Rai's leadership instills a deep sense of pride among the youth of our region, who are fortunate to study at such a prestigious and forward-thinking university. She also highlighted the fruitful collaboration between FICCI FLO JKL and the University of Jammu over the past two and a half years, noting that they have been fortunate to be part of this journey of progress.
The University of Jammu is one of only two institutions from Jammu and Kashmir to secure a place in the overall NIRF top 100 institutions, with an impressive 50th rank, scoring 52.33 points. This recognition highlights the University's dedication to maintaining high standards of education and fostering an environment conducive to academic growth.
Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, extended his support for future FICCI FLO JKL initiatives and expressed his willingness to collaborate on various women-led programs.
