Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat: A remarkable display of community engagement in Baramulla

BARAMULLA: The Baramulla District witnessed a remarkable display of community engagement and awareness through the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the extensive campaign aimed to illuminate the general public about ongoing government welfare schemes driving the comprehensive development of the region.

The primary objective of this initiative is to educate residents about an array of welfare schemes in an endeavour to encompass vulnerable and marginalized individuals, ensuring their inclusion under the protective cover of these initiatives.

The yatra, currently traversing through blocks and panchayats of Sub-Division Sopore, garnered massive public participation and support. The IEC vans showcased enriching audio-visual material regarding vital beneficiary schemes on large screens attached to them.

Flagship schemes, including PM KISAN, Vishwakarma, Suraksha Bima Yojna, Jeevan Jyoti, Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, JJM, Poshan Abhiyaan and scores of other schemes including welfare, employment and income generation based schemes were highlighted.

Throughout the Yatra programs at different places, officials engaged with the public in raising awareness about government schemes, interacted with beneficiaries emphasizing the significance and benefits of these initiatives.

Under the initiative "Meri Kahani, Meri Zubaani," beneficiaries of diverse schemes shared their firsthand experiences and the transformative impact these schemes had on their lives, underscoring their substantial contributions to societal betterment.

Furthermore, various camps were organized during the Yatra programs across the panchayats and blocks of the Sub-Division.

These encompassed health camps for TB screening, Sickle Cell Anaemia awareness, soil health checking among other services.
