Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra launched in rural areas of District Samba

SAMBA: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide initiative aimed at informing and empowering citizens about the transformative flagship schemes of the Government was launched in the rural areas of the District Samba today.

The campaign commenced in six prominent Panchayats of the Bari-Brahamana, Samba and Ramgarh blocks of the district.

Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma, flagged off the I.E.C Van at Panchayat Patli, Bari Brahmana Block, symbolizing the journey of reaching out to communities. The van traversed through Rakh Ambtali, Ramnagar, Patli, Rarri, Lower Birpur, and Gho Brahmana Panchayats of the three blocks.

The inaugural of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra included a diverse range of activities including holding special camps where people could avail various services and benefits, captivating cultural performances by talented school students and local artists, health screenings for the citizens, engaging dialogues with progressive farmers who shared their best practices and innovations, stimulating quizzes that tested the knowledge and awareness of the participants, and the heartwarming recognition of women achievers and local sportspersons who have made the district proud.

The cultural performances added a unique touch to the event, with the renditions of "Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke" and the Swachhta song resonating with the audience. Additionally, a thought-provoking video documentary was showcased, powerfully illustrating the remarkable progress achieved through various flagship schemes. One of the highlights of the event was the Meri Kahani Meri Zubani initiative, wherein the beneficiaries of diverse departments, such as health, education, agriculture, social welfare, and rural development,enthusiastically narrated their stories of positive change.

"The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a unique opportunity to connect with the rural masses and make them aware of the various schemes and benefits that the Centre has launched for their welfare. We hope that this campaign will inspire and motivate them to participate and avail benefits of various flagship schemes," said Abhishek Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Samba.

Chander Parkash Ganga, ex minister, also graced the occasion and appreciated the efforts of the district administration and the implementing agencies for organizing the Yatra.

He also urged the people to participate actively and take advantage of these schemes.
