SAMBA: As part of the series of events being organized under the flagship banner of "My Constitution My Pride" and "Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan", a pledge taking event was today organized by the department of Political Science Govt Degree college Vijaypur in collaboration with NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) here in the college premises.

The College Principal, Staff and Students participated and pledged allegiance to the country and the people. The pledge was read out in Hindi and English. Students and NSS volunteers participated in the pledge with great enthusiasm and zeal.

Earlier, the event started with a brief introduction to the event by Dr. Radhika Rasyal, Lecturer History. She informed the students about the importance of voting since voting also comes under our Constitution.

Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Gupta, in her address to the students, said that every year Samvidan Diwas is celebrated to commemorate the day of the adoption of the Constitution of India. She highlighted and reiterated the values and principles enshrined thereunder. She advised students to honour and acknowledge the constitution of the country.

The programme was organized with the full support and guidance of senior faculty members of the college.
