30 youth complete NSDC approved Accounts Executive Course in Samba

SAMBA: The certification ceremony of the three month skill development training program organized by Directorate of Employment J&K through District Employment & Counselling Centre Samba (Model Career Centre Samba) for the trade of Accounts Executive was organized at Samba today.

The Accounts Executive Course is an NSDC approved NSQF level 4 Course for skilling of candidates with qualification of 12th with commerce or Graduate in any discipline followed by handholding of candidates in getting jobs in private sector or become self-employed through various government sponsored self-employment schemes.

Thirty candidates from across the district were provided free of cost training to improve their skills for accountancy related jobs in government as well as private sector covering topics like Bookkeeping, Ledger, return filing, bank reconciliation statement, depreciation schedules and practical knowledge of accountancy software like Tally etc. GK Education Trust was the training partner for the program.

In an impressive program, Kasak Gupta, Ritika Attri, Abhikash Baboria and Aniket Mehra, the trainees were felicitated by the Employment Department in extempore speech on topics like accounting ethics, GST, Relevance of Upskilling.

Sulakshna Thakur, Assistant Director Employment, emphasized on the utility of the Accounts executive course for career growth in accountancy related jobs. She handed over certificates to the candidates for successful completion and passing of the examination conducted by NSDC through a third party assessment agency.

She briefed the candidates about the different initiatives of Government of Jammu & Kashmir through Employment Department like job fairs for placement in private/public sector, government sponsored self-employment schemes like Mumkin, Tejeswini, Spurring Entrepreneurship and skill development training program.

The District Employment & Counselling Centre Samba is also functioning as Model Career Centre as per DGET guidelines and organizing activities like career counselling, free online courses and registration of youth with National Career Service Portal with more than 12 lakh active job vacancies.

Besides team of DECC Samba, the management and faculty of GK Education Trust also participated in the program.
