SAMBA: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Law & Order J&K, Vijay Kumar, accompanied by DIG JSK Range, Shakti Pathak, conducted extensive tour of the border areas in Samba and Kathua Districts and held security review meetings.

In Samba, he was received by DC Samba, Abhishek Sharma, and SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, all SDPOs, and SHOs of the District.

While chairing the security review meeting at the conference hall of the DPO Samba, which was attended by officers of all agencies dealing with the law and order, the ADGP Law & Order directed the officers to learn from their past temporary setbacks, if any, and to get ready with renewed energy to face future challenges.

He asked SHOs to generate information about all happenings in advance and to take appropriate preventive actions.

He advised the officers of all the agencies to work in tandem to thwart the nefarious designs of the enemy in the border areas.

Earlier, SSP Samba, Benam Tosh presented a power point presentation to the ADGP and briefed him on the present scenario. The officers of sister agencies also provided the briefings.

Thereafter, the ADGP Law & Order visited border areas of Ramgarh, Samba, and Hiranagar sectors, conducted series of meetings with the officers and issued necessary directions on-the-spot. In Hiranagar, he was received by SSP Kathua, Shivdeep Singh Jamwal and his team of officers.
