UDHAMPUR: To strengthen grassroots governance, address public grievances and promote awareness about centrally sponsored schemes, MLA Chenani, Balwant Singh Mankotia today conducted a public outreach-cum-grievances redressal camp at Baisakhi Dabbar Barmeen.
The camp witnessed participation from DDC Member Narsoo Subash Chander, district and sectoral officers, former PRI members and general public of adjoining panchayats.
Former PRI members and general public projected several issues and demand, seeking upgradation of the Health Dispensary, Opening of a J&K Bank Branch in Barmeen, addressing staff shortage at Government High School Dhandal, construction of roads from Seri to Sarsu, Barmeen to Satyalta and Dhandal to Prowa Jagir, construction of a shed at Narsingh Temple, Barmeen, provision of electric poles, Tehsil status for Ghordi and development of a playground at Larh.
Responding to the projected demands, Mankotia issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned officers seeking speedy redressal of genuine grievances. He stressed that all issues raised during the camp should be addressed either immediately or within a defined timeframe.
Highlighting the importance of such public grievances redressal camps, the MLA said these platforms serve as vital instruments for bridging the gap between the administration and the people. He directed officers to adopt a proactive approach, ensure field visits, and facilitate timely delivery of essential services.
Scores of public issues were resolved at the camp through direct intervention and coordination with departmental officers. Mankotia also emphasized working with a sense of mission and dedication to avoid any inconvenience to public due to poor services.
Besides, he encouraged officers to create awareness among the public regarding the income-generating and beneficiary-oriented schemes launched by the Government of India, ensuring that all eligible citizens avail themselves of these benefits. |
