Pilgrim rescued from drowning in Ban Ganga

KATRA: A Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrim was safely rescued after he slipped into the Ban Ganga river near Katra.

The individual, identified as Indradev Sah, son of Sito Shah, resident of Karawal Nagar, North East Delhi, reportedly lost his balance and fell into the fast-flowing Ban Ganga stream, becoming trapped between rocks.

Upon receiving the distress information, a joint rescue team of Police Post Ban Ganga and Shrine Board officials immediately rushed to the location. Displaying exceptional coordination and bravery, the team managed to safely rescue the pilgrim from the dangerous waters. The individual was pulled out without sustaining any major injuries.
