SAMBA: A significant milestone was achieved by the Labour Department, Samba. An amount of ₹76,98,225 was disbursed under Employee Compensation Act in which the labour/ workers or their next of kins are compensated in case of accident or death, in presence of Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rajesh Sharma.

The event witnessed the physical distribution of cheques to the kins of the deceased workers, who were present on the occasion. The disbursal marks a proactive step toward ensuring justice and financial relief to the workers and their families under relevant statutory provisions.

The Assistant Labour Commissioner, Samba Himani Jerath commended for her efficient and prompt disposal of court cases, reflecting the department's dedication to worker welfare and speedy grievance redressal.

The Deputy Commissioner, while handing over the cheques, appreciated the commitment of the Labour Department in safeguarding labour rights and delivering justice in a time-bound manner.

This initiative reaffirms the government's commitment to labour welfare and highlights the efficiency of the local administration in executing court orders with diligence and speed.
