DC Kishtwar reviews functioning of Revenue Department; Sets timelines for key deliverables

KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma today convened a meeting to review functioning of the Revenue Department in the district.

The agenda points of the meeting included Digitization/Recreation of Missing Mussavis, progress of ground truthing of rectified maps (BISAG-N), progress on Ground Verified Maps 1.0 and 2.0 under the Svamitva scheme, timely disposal of online revenue services (PSG Act), among others.

ACR, Idrees Lone apprised the DC of the current progress and functioning of the Revenue Department in the District.

During the meeting, the DC directed all concerned Tehsildars to ensure the completion of recreation of Mussavis by 20th July 2025. Tehsildar Bounjwah was specifically instructed to coordinate with DFO Kishtwar for the recreation of Mussavis in forest areas.

Emphasizing progress under the Svamitva Scheme, the DC instructed all Tehsildars to complete Mapping (Map 1.0 and 2.0) by 10th July 2025.

For efficient service delivery, the DC directed all Tehsildars to ensure timely issuance of certificates/services and clear all pending cases within 3 days. He also instructed Tehsildars to ensure timely disposal of revenue court cases as reflected on the RCCMS portal.

Strict instructions were issued regarding eviction of encroachments from State/Common/Kahchara/Roshni land along with the installation of signboards and measures to prevent re-encroachment.

The DC directed all Tehsildars to conduct special camps for inheritance mutations in addition to routine mutation work.

The meeting was attended by ACR Kishtwar Idrees lone, SDM Chatroo Nayeem Ur Rahman, SDM Marwah Dr. Mohd Ashraf, SDM Paddar Dr. Amit Kumar, Tehsildars, besides the concerned staff of Revenue Department.
