DC directs intensifying awareness, publicity efforts to ensure benefits of scheme reach maximum consumers

GANDERBAL: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore today chaired a meeting to review the implementation and progress of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in the district.

At the outset, DC was briefed about the status of applications uploaded on the national portal and the ongoing installation of solar rooftop systems under the scheme.

While taking stock of the progress, DC directed officers of KPDCL Ganderbal to intensify awareness and publicity efforts to ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach maximum consumers. He instructed them to widely circulate a step-by-step guide detailing the entire process from registration, vendor selection, bank linkage, to installation and commissioning so that citizens can avail the scheme with ease.

Emphasizing the importance of financial facilitation, DC asked the LDM Ganderbal to ensure seamless access to loan services by assisting interested applicants in the registration process and linking them with banks.

To expedite the pace of implementation, DC instructed the Executive Engineer KPDCL Ganderbal to set specific targets for AEEs, ensuring visible progress on the ground.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Superintending Engineer KPDCL Circle Ganderbal, Executive Engineer KPDCL Ganderbal, AEEs, JEs, and other concerned officials.
