Udhampur Administration acts tough against encroachers in Ward No. 21

UDHAMPUR: In a decisive move to reclaim encroached state land, the District Administration Udhampur today conducted an anti-encroachment drive in Ward No. 21 of Udhampur town.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai.

Earlier, the Additional Deputy Commissioner had constituted a revenue team to visit the site and check the revenue records. The team examined encroachment and granted ample time to 18 identified encroachers to voluntarily remove boundary walls illegally constructed on state land.

Despite repeated notices and a reasonable time frame, the encroachers failed to comply and resorted to delaying tactics.

Taking swift action against the defaulters, the District Administration demolished the unauthorized structures as part of the ongoing drive. The drive was led by EO MC Rajinder Kr Digra, Tehsildar Jai Singh and police team led by SHO Raghuvir Singh along with Khilafwarzi Inspector Rohit Kumar, Rajesh Saini and Revenue team Udhampur.

The District Administration is evicting encroachment in mission mode to clear all state land of illegal encroachments and uphold the rule of law.
