JAMMU: Kunwrani Dr. Ritu Singh, PVC DPS Jammu graced the famous Parade Ceremony at Border Out Post (BOP) Suchetgarh Jammu on the occasion of 76th Republic Day.
She presented the national flag in an impressive ceremony to the BSF personnel marking a moment of pride and unity. To honor the occasion, she dedicated beautifully curated plants in tricolor planters, to the BSF personnel.
These were prepared by the three participating schools.
Adding to the creative spirit of the event, she also unveiled an exquisite canvas painting reflecting the theme of this Republic Day-Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas. This artwork symbolized India's progressive journey towards a golden future through unity and development.
She was accompanied by Rajani Sehgal, Rajni Sehgal, ex-Jail Supdt, Swati Dedeechi and Payal Bhalla Saraf. Around enthusiastic 150 Students and staff members of DPS Jammu, DPS Nagbani and DPS Katra were also present on the occasion holding hand made flags.
After reaching at the border, Dr Ritu Singh and the teams from DPS were given a warm reception by Ajay Sharma, Commandant BSF. The teams accompanying her along with BSF officers for a guided tour of the historic International Suchetgarh Border, emphasizing its cultural and strategic importance.
The Staff and Students witnessed the retreat ceremony, a deeply patriotic event that mirrors the famous Wagah Border ceremony. The event featured synchronized drills, parades, and a display of national pride by the Border Security Forces (BSF).
The staff and students got an opportunity to interact with BSF personnel, gaining insight into their duties and understanding the critical role they play in safeguarding our borders. The staff and faculty rejoiced in the cultural program that was held to further commemorate the spirit of Republic Day. They were also offered light refreshment by the BSF officials.
Dr Ritu Singh invoked the blessings of God through soulful singing of Mahamritunjaya Mantra as she prayed for the long life and protection of the BSF jawans. She thanked BSF Commandant Ajay Sharma for hosting the teams from DPS Jammu, Katra and Nagbani. She assured all possible help from her side for all bsf personnel at the BOP octroi.
The educational trip was organized with the aim of instilling patriotism and paying homage to the brave forces who safeguard our borders. It sought to sensitize future generations to the sacrifices made by our armed forces and foster a deep respect for their unwavering dedication. The day served as a heartfelt tribute, embodying the spirit of our Republic Day.
Speaking on the occasion she said that it is important for students to immerse themselves in such learning experiences, blending patriotism, creativity, and responsibility.
Students were profoundly inspired by the event, learning invaluable lessons about national pride, discipline, and the role of the armed forces in safeguarding the nation.
