GDC Marh shines in Inter- Zonal Display your talent contest

JAMMU: Sahil Sandhu of 1st Semester and Kashish of 5th Semester of Government Degree College Marh have secured Ist and 2nd Positions in Western Instrument solo and Rangoli Making contests in first ever Inter Zonal Display Your Talent 2024-25 competition organized at University of Jammu.

The prize distribution ceremony was held on 20th January 2024 at JU where the Chief Guest for the event was Principal Secretary, Department of Culture, JKUT Suresh Gupta, and guest of honour was Prof. Anju Bhasin, Dean Academic Affairs University of Jammu.

The ceremony was attended by the Principal of the college along with faculty members to encourage the winner students. All the Affiliated Colleges of Jammu Province were divided into 5 zones namely Tawi Zone, Devika Zone, Ravi Zone, Pir-Panjal Zone and Chenab Zone. Kashish and Sahil Sandhu firstly brought laurels at Tawi Zone Competition and then bagged top positions at Inter-Zonal Level. Their exceptional performance and creativity has earned them a well-deserved recognition and they will be now representing the College at Regional Level at University of Punjab, Chandigarh.

The Principal of the college Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul congratulated both the students as well as their family members. He also blessed them with grand success in their future endeavors.

The Teacher-in-charges who worked tirelessly behind the curtain for the two meritorious students were Dr. Ashu Jolly (HOD Education), Dr. Sheetal Sharma (HOD Dogri) and Dr. Ruchika (Department of English).
