GDC Neeli Nallah organises Health Care Awareness programme themed "SEVA CE SIKHE"

UDHAMPUR: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College Neeli Nallah Udhampur on Tuesday organized Health Care Awareness programme "SEVA CE SIKHE" -a GOI initiative.

The event took place in the Health Training centre(RHTC) Ayushman Arogya Mandir Garhi. The NSS Program Coordinator, Prof. Shaista Yasmeen, Assistant Professor, Department of English along with NSS volunteers participated with zeal and enthusiasm . She coordinated the event, with an aim to enhance students' understanding of healthcare practices and their role in serving society.

Dr Arti Bharat, Medical Officer and Dr. Ritu Raina, Dental surgeon at PHC Garhi and Somraj Gupta,(Head Pharmacist) addressed the NSS volunteers and delivered an enlightening speech on safeguarding various diseases. Medical Professionals emphasized the importance of preventive measures, timely diagnosis, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. His insights inspired the students to actively engage in community healthcare initiatives.

Prof. Shaista Yasmeen (NSS PO) Department of English, Dr. Zahoor Wani and Dr. Nazeer Ahmad khan led the NSS group during the interaction, providing valuable guidance and support to the students.

The session fostered meaningful dialogue between the students and the healthcare professionals, especially Dr. Arti Bharat, Medical Officer helping them grasp practical aspects of service and care.

Principal of GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur, Prof. (Dr) Seema Arora, was instrumental in facilitating this opportunity for the students.
