DEO Baramulla reviews arrangements at Counting Center for 1-Baramulla PC

BARAMULLA: The District Election Officer (DEO), Baramulla, Minga Sherpa today visited designated counting center for 1-Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency at Indoor Sports Stadium, Baramulla to take stock of the arrangements in place for the counting process during Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

During the visit, the DEO thoroughly reviewed the arrangements in place at all the 18 counters set for all the 18-assembly segments of 1-Baramulla PC ensuring that all necessary measures were in place and functioning effectively to facilitate the smooth and efficient processing of electoral activities.

Minga Sherpa further conducted a thorough inspection to ensure the robust security measures, CCTVs, availability of power supply, implementation of fire-safety measures and other facilities all aimed at ensuring a smooth counting process with no hassle.

These measures were meticulously assessed to guarantee a smooth counting process without any disruptions, in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The DEO emphasized the importance of adhering to the ECI guidelines and ensuring that all arrangements are in place at the counting centers to uphold the integrity and efficiency of the electoral process, providing voters and stakeholders with confidence in the democratic process.

Pertinently, the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 are scheduled to be held in 1-Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency on 20th of May 2024 while filing of nomination papers for the same will commence from 26th of April.

The DEO was accompanied by the Dy District Election Officer, Ab Rehaman Bhat; ARO, Baramulla, Arshad Ahmad Khan and Executive Engineer R&B Baramulla, Rayees Ahmad.
