KATHUA: Congress candidate from Kathua-Udhampur-Doda constituency, Ch Lal Singh (ex-MP) on Friday addressed a series of public rallies at Basantpur, Kharote, Bhudi, Barwal and Nagri followed by a road show led by ex-MP on bike which passed through Kotpunnu, Salalpur, Mukandpur, Sanji Morh, Marheen and other villages of border in Hiranagar.

Addressing election rallies along with Congress MP (RS), Ranjeeta Ranjan, Ch Lal Singh said that BJP has badly failed in providing the jobs and the employment to the people of the entire J&K. When they are mandated to power, they forget the entire issues of the people.

Lal Singh lambasted the BJP Government on the loot and selling of the entire resources to the outsiders. He claimed that big Corporate Houses are the priority of BJP Government and not the poor and lower middle class people.

Singh asked the people to check the rates of the toll plazas. He said BJP leaders should explain why this is happening with the people of J&K. Now because the proxy government of BJP could not deliver on the ground, that's why the J&K BJP leadership is requesting the Central leaders to campaign in J&K. Their shift and surrender dismayed and disappointed people of J&K besides exposing their hollow and false commitment to their slogans always used by them to hoodwink the people.

Congress leader lambasted the BJP leadership and alleged that instead of focusing on matters confronting the people of Jammu region in the last ten years, they are now trying to deceive people by raising non-issues and diverting their attention from joblessness, poor healthcare facilities and sidelining of the employees of J&K.

Ranjeeta Ranjan, Rajya Sabha MP also addressed a series of meetings and said that if Congress is voted to power the heavy taxes like GST imposed on essential goods will be reviewed and the schemes like Agniveer will be abolished. Moreover, Congress is committed for restoration of statehood to J&K, she added.
