JU celebrates "Viksit Bharat @2047: Samajshastra ki drishti se"

JAMMU: A group discussion and poster-making activity was successfully organised by the Department of Sociology on 19th and 20th December, 2023 in light of the vision plan Viksit Bharat @2047.

A group discussion was organised with the students and scholars of the department under the guidance of Dr Hema Gandotra, Head in charge, Department of Sociology.

She acquainted the students with the agenda of Viksit Bharat@2047 and motivated the students to post their ideas and suggestions on the My Gov.in portal.

A brief documentary was screened, following which the students engaged in stimulating group discussion.

On the second day the poster-making activity was also organised on the theme "Viksit Bharat @2047: Samajshastra ki drishti se" and was supervised by the teacher in charge Kajal Kalsi, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology.

Students of both 1st and 3rd semester enthusiastically participated in the activity and the posters reflecting sociological vision of a Viksit Bharat were displayed in the department.

Other faculty members of the department including Diksha Nargotra and Dr Gopal Sharma were also present during these activities. Dr. Hema Gandotra appreciated the students for participating in the activities.

All the students of the Department of Sociology (M,A.IIrd and Ist Sem) have registered on the My Gov.in portal.
