Jodhamal School wins Zonal INTACH Quiz, Qualifies for the National Round

JAMMU: The Zonal Round of INTACH Quiz Competition 2023 was organised in Montessori Cambridge School, Nurpur, Himachal Pradesh.

The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) was founded in 1984 in New Delhi with a vision to spearhead heritage awareness and conservation in India.

Today INTACH is recognized as one of the world's largest heritage organisations, with over 190 chapters across the country.

The Quiz is envisaged as a learning experience for students and through each Quiz, knowledge about INTACH and its scope of work in the field is shared with students to encourage the spirit of volunteering in them.

The Zonal Round was preceded by the City Round where the Team Jodhamal had competed with 23 Teams and emerged victorious to participate in the Zonal Round at Himachal Pradesh.

As winners of Zonal Round, the Jodhamal Quiz Team comprising Kushagar Sambyal and Adit Gupta will participate in the Final National level Round of the INTACH Quiz to be held at New Delhi from 14 Dec 2023 to 15 Dec 2023.

Schools from Himachal Pradesh and J&K participated in this prestigious Zonal Quiz which was won by Jodhamal Quiz Team, while Teams from Indus Global School, Mandi and St Mary Sen Secondary School, Dharmshala stood second and third respectively.

The dignitaries who witnessed the Zonal Round included Col Bhupinder Singh (Retd), Malvika Pathania, State Convener, INTACH SM Sawhney, Convener, INTACH Jammu Chapter, Mr KK Sharma, INTACH, Jammu Chapter.

Namrata Sharma and Deepali Sharma had mentored the Jodhamal Quiz Team which was escorted by Aashish Maharaj.

Jodhamal School Administration complimented the students and teachers and congratulated them on achieving this feat.
