DIS holds poem recitation competition

JAMMU: Doon International School (DIS) hosted Sahodaya English poem recitation competition with participation from 26 CBSE Schools of Jammu.

There were 26 CBSE schools of Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Nagrota and Akhnoor which participated in the competition.

KCS Mehta, Academic Director of IDPS Akhnoor and Mentor of Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex, presided as the esteemed Chief Guest, adding his valuable insights to the event. Randeep Wazir, Principal of IDPS Jammu and Joint Secretary of Sahodaya School Complex Jammu were guests of honour.

Dr. Rashid Ali, Professor at Central University Jammu, and Dr. Ieshita Sharma, Assistant Professor at Government College for Women Parade were the judges, bringing their expertise and discerning eye to the competition.

Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur, Dr Sarita Moza Koul, Vice Principal, Jasleen Kour, Chief Coordinator, appreciated the hard work and best performance of each and every student.

The first prize was given to Ishit Sharma of Model Academy School, second to Daksh Malhotra of APS Samba and 3rd Position to Raghunandan Saini of Stephen International Public School and Syed Shiyaan of IDPS Jammu.

The consolation prizes were given to Vidyut Vijay Jamwal of KC International School, Mishelle Iqbal of Birla Open Minds International, Akshara Gupta of Heritage School, Mitali Sharma of St. Peter's High School, Umaiza Hussain of Doon International School, Jasleen Kour of Rich Harvest School and Piyuksha Gupta of RMG International school.
