Jodhamal skaters selected for Nationals

JAMMU: More than 30 Jodhamal Skaters outperformed their fellow-skaters in a keenly contested State Level Skating Tournament and excelled in the trials for National Roller Skating and Roller Hockey Tournaments.

They will be participating in 61st National Roller Skating and National Roller Hockey championships to be held at Chennai and Chandigarh from 13th Dec and 25th Dec 2023.

The proud skating stalwarts from Jodhamal are: In Speed Skating: Ranveer Singh Shan, Yuvraj Singh, Pearl Suri, Advitya Sharma, Aahan Mahajan, Anandani Sharma, Tabish Hyder Chib, Ainoor Gohar Dar, Pavit Gupta, Mysha Koul and Aasim Abas Khan

In Roller Hockey: Aahan Sharma, Gurjas Singh, Shiva Gupta, Sharvani Mahajan, Aamya Vishist, Aayra Vishist, Bhavnoor Kour, Hazel Suri, Namish Gupta, Druv Sadhotra, Ayesha Chib, Akshita Sharma, Saksham Sharma, Sameer Rahi, Serish Abrol, Priya Mahajan, Rebecca Verma, Abhia Fatima, Aarohi Mahajan and Czia Raina.

Jodhamal School has become a nursery for the promising skaters, with the highest number of skaters from a single school, participating in Nationals year after year. School's equal thrust on academics and sports promotes the culture of sports in the school and ensures holistic development of its students.

In the bygone year too, several Jodhamal Skaters participated in International Skating Tournaments in China. Apart from skating, the School is proud of its long list of national players in swimming, matsogi-do, football and basketball.

The selected participants were appreciated by Trustee Nandan Kuthiala, Director Arati Kuthiala, Principal Girish Kumar and Vice Principal Shefali Sanwal.

They motivated the students and said that the route to success lies in hard work and dedication.

They also applauded the efforts of the coaches Kamal Anand and Ritesh Jamwal for training the students well.
